Yemen Wed, Vol. 1 is a one-off comic narrative, which spotlights a moment in the relationship between an shape-shifting character named, Yemen Wed, and his friend, a solitary woman named Notzen Yet. The pair lives in parallel universe named the Ceiling World, in which the expansive minimal interiors are comprised solely of interior architectural details from “regular reality,” however, in this new world they function as the primary objects of utility, such as a table, a cabinet, or a door. For example, imagine the ceiling was the floor and the light fixture detail became the primary architectural structure, that would be the ceiling world. Formerly peripheral items are isolated and repositioned in the foreground. Yemen Wed is a transient, and follows the rigid patterns of a metronome object. Notzen Yet symbolizes grief and the emotion of sadness.
